Update on Medical Incentives

The latest numbers are now available.  The federal government reports that over 300,000 eligible hospitals and medical professionals have now registered for the EHR Incentive Program.  As of September 2012, Medicare has paid out almost $4 billion and Medicaid $3.5 billion in incentive payments.

Has your medical practice applied?  If so, how are you planning to spend your payment?  If not, what is holding you back?

As you may know, there really are no guidelines on how the payments may be spent.  Your medical practice could, for example, use the funds to cover the cost of scanning your paper charts so that they may be imported into your EHR / EMR.  ScanWorks is a professional document scanning service and we are well-equipped to handle medical records scanning, imaging, archiving (or whatever you refer to it as).  We have perfected a system of file prep that involves quick staple pulling and paper orientation so that we may then maximize use of our high-speed scanners and the indexing capabilities they offer post-scan.  It would a privilege to work with your practice to accomplish a complete conversion to your EHR.

We are happy to help explain your options for medical chart scanning and what solutions we can provide your practice.  Please call ScanWorks at 330-322-2988 for further information or for a free sample scan of your records.  Or click here for a Quik Quote.
