Choice of EHR Vendor

ScanWorks plays a role in the EHR/EMR conversion facing physicians nationwide.  We scan existing paper medical charts by individual patient.  Then we upload the scanned data into a practice’s EHR (or the in-house IT guru does it).  Our scanned data can be uploaded into any EHR.  While it is true that the the Ohio Health Information Partnership developed a list of preferred EHR vendors, medical practitioners may use any vendor and still be able to participate in CliniSync, our statewide health information exchange.  This means that we are capable of importing scanned charts into these vendors and more:  eMds, Allscripts, NextGen, eClinical Works, and Vitera (formerly Sage).
