Shredding Before Recycling

Shredding Before Recycling

Recycling the paper generated in the course of business is an important part of good environmental stewardship.  It is important to remember, however, that the paper sent for recycling should first be shredded.  The law requires us all to keep customer and employee information private, and that means securely disposing of sensitive documents when they are no longer needed.  Shredding the paper is the most secure disposal method available.  To comply with industry best practice standards, ScanWorks shreds scanned documents into confetti-like pieces to ensure the security of the information contained therein.  Of course, we only shred the scanned documents once the customer has reviewed the DVD containing their scanned images and gives us approval to do so.  All customers receive a Certificate of Destruction once the shredding process has been completed.  ScanWorks specializes in providing customers peace of mind from the beginning of the process to the end.
